I believe you have all had similar confusion: Should you buy a leather driver seat or a fabric driver seat?
Today, let us get familiar with the material and craftsmanship of the truck seat air suspension, so that everyone can have a clearer understanding when choosing a right truck driver seat in the future.
driver seat material:
Leather seats simply mean that the fabric is leather. According to the raw materials, it is divided into first layer cowhide, second layer cowhide and PU coated leather.

● First Layer Of Cowhide:
The price of a whole piece of first-layer cowhide or sheepskin is very high, and the connection is smoother;
● Second Layer Cowhide:
The surface is coated, and there are also two layers of cowhide and sheepskin. The animal skin is cut into two pieces from the middle. Because there is no protection from the dense fibrous tissue of the first layer, the surface will look softer than the first layer of skin and has poorer elasticity and wear resistance. Therefore, a layer of PU or PVC film will be applied during processing.
● PU Coated Leather:
Regenerated leather is made by grinding skin residue and skin fibers and bonding them with adhesive under high pressure. It is also called artificial leather. The raw materials are indeed real animal skins, but they are all reused scraps. The fiber structure of the original cortex has been destroyed, and the surface is covered with a film, so the touch is not as good as real leather.

Next, let's discuss the process differences of all kinds of leather seats:
● Nappa Leather:
Nappa is a more advanced processing technology that gets rid of the odor and discomfort caused by chemical products. It is soft to the touch and can present a visual effect that is closest to the texture of human skin. It is widely used in car seats.
● Perforated Leather Seats:
The purpose of punching holes is to make up for the lack of breathability of leather seats, and can also cooperate with the seat ventilation function to provide a more comfortable riding experience. However, it is just as easy as fabric seats. When holes are drilled, dust will easily enter and they will not be resistant to dirt.
● Imitation Leather Seats:
Imitation leather seats are artificial leather, mostly made of PU polyurethane, a plastic product that looks and feels like leather. In terms of technology, it is actually made of fabric as the base, coated with synthetic resin and various plastic additives.
● Alcantara Craftsmanship:
Alcantara is a type of artificial leather. Its production process is relatively complicated. It requires complex processing of 68% polyester and 32% polyurethane. Because it is made of suede synthetic material, it can provide excellent friction.
● Fabric Seats:
Usually, fabric seats are made of high-grade velvet or synthetic materials. The materials are more breathable, sweat-absorbent, comfortable, durable, and not easy to age. A few scratches are completely harmless.
● Alcantara And Weaving:
Because they are made of textiles, the styles, patterns, and colors of fabric seats are more flexible than leather seats, and a variety of novel styles can appear. It can also be combined with leather seats to create a mix of leather and fabric.
