Air Suspension: A New Favorite Of High-End Logistics Models
Air suspension can perform the same load-bearing and shock-absorbing function as our common leaf spring suspension, but it is different from leaf springs in structure and working principle.
How does air suspension work?
The working principle of air suspension is to fill the Truck Seat Air Spring with compressed air, and use the control system to control the inflation and deflation of the air bag to adjust the load and height of the vehicle.
Air suspension can be divided into four types according to the number of air bags: 4 air bags, 8 air bags, 9 air bags, and 11 air bags. Air suspension generally refers to the rear axle suspension. The front axle of models with 11 air bag suspension is also air suspension. Among them, 9 air bag and 11 air bag suspension have rear axle lifting function.

● Four-Air Bag Structure Air Suspension System:
It is composed of two air suspensions with a single drive axle and 2 airbag composite structures connected in series. It is mainly composed of a single-arm guide mechanism and airbags. Most of the vertical load of the body is carried by the air spring.
● Air Bag Suspension With Eight Air Bag Structure:
It is composed of two single-axle four-airbag air suspensions connected in series, and is mainly composed of a four-link guide mechanism and four airbags. All vertical loads of the car body are carried by air springs (air bags).
● Air Bag Suspension With Nine Air Bag Structure:
The 9-air bag suspension is based on the 8-air bag suspension and adds a lifting air bag to realize the rear axle lifting function. The rear axle is raised and lowered by inflating and deflating the air bag.
● Air Bag Suspension With Eleven Air Bag Structure:
SINOTRUK Shandeka C7H uses an air bag suspension with an eleven air bag structure. This heavy duty truck adopts a full airbag suspension structure, and its front axle also uses a single-axle dual-airbag air suspension. Its structure is similar to the 4-airbag rear axle suspension.
Why use air suspension?
Because there are many advantages to using air suspension, such as:
● It can effectively protect goods, reduce damage to goods during transportation, and reduce the impact of vehicles on the road;
● The height of the vehicle body is adjustable, allowing for quick towing, loading and unloading of goods, improving transportation efficiency; the vehicle is lightweight, reducing fuel consumption and tire wear.
Of course, special lateral tie rods and guide rods are required in the air suspension system, so the structure of the air suspension system is relatively complex and the price is relatively high.
Air bags are used on air suspension to support the weight of the vehicle and provide the cushioning and adjustment functions of the suspension system. The air bags adjust the suspension height and hardness by inflating and releasing gas to adapt to different road conditions and load conditions, which not only provides a better ride. Comfort and stability, and can be adjusted as needed, very smart.
Now we know that airbags can be used not only on seats, driving surfaces, and air suspensions. I believe that friends who have read the article will no longer be confused about the various airbags. With the development of technology and the better application of airbags, driving comfort will also improve, and it can better meet the current needs of efficiency and reliability in the transportation industry.
